Work Zone Traffic Technician 2
This one-week (36-hour) course has been designed for those who intend to set up work zones as the primary focus of their work. The topics to be covered include, but are not limited to:
The study of standard construction drawings in greater depth to set up common work zone scenarios, such as: temporary traffic signal zones, road closures and detours, partial and total ramp closures on freeways. Students will also use temporary pavement markings, TRPM’s especially, and tape to create guidance for traffic in lane shifts and median crossovers. Other topics will include: truck-mounted attenuators and rolling roadblocks, roundabouts, barrier walls and attenuators, and rumble strips.
Prerequisite: Successfull completion of Work Zone Traffic Technician 1
