This 3-day, 24 hour course, introduces participants to the basic knowledge of solar farm, what they are and how they are built.
Topics include:
an overview of how solar farms create electrical current and supply it to the grid
key terms and components
design considerations
complete building, installation and disassembly of solar structures
different types of farm designs
Worker safety is vital and will always be emphasized and discussed throughout our lessons.
Hands on activities may include: installing posts, building the racking system, assembling and installing PV (photovoltaic) modules to the racking system, as well as the use of the needed power tools.
