Construction Math 2

Advanced Classes

This one-week course is an introduction to basic geometric and trigonometric functions as they relate to construction.

In this course a student may expect to learn the following:

  • Linear, area, volume and weight formulas
  • Different aspects of angles and circles, including measuring and computing, as well as an introduction to azimuths and bearings
  • Using trigonometric functions in solving equations involving triangles and polygons
  • The four expressions of a slope and how to interpret them

Students will gain an understanding of how all these functions work with an emphasis on developing the critical thinking skills needed to use them to solve construction related problems.

It is STRONGLY recommended that any student who needs to reinforce their mastery of decimals, fractions, or order of operations for equations – to complete Construction Math 1 before taking this class.
