A one-week course designed to teach forklift and safety on masonry jobs. Includes operation of various kinds of masonry and other rough terrain forklifts.
Applicants must have good eyesight and depth perception and some experience with powered equipment such as farm machinery or end loaders. A background in mason tending (hod carrying would be helpful in this course but is not required). Must show a valid driver’s license.
Graduates must demonstrate the ability to maintain and operate various rough terrain forklifts in a safe and productive manner, while handling, storing and stocking materials. Successful completion of the LIUNA Rough Terrain Forklift safety training course is also required for graduation.
Prerequisite – Successful completion of B-1 and 200 hours of mason tending experience. (250 hours experience without B-1 class)
