Pipe Laying (A-3)
This 5-day course involves, excavating soil, hydraulic shoring, laying SDR 35 Sanitary pipe, HDPE, and Reinforced Concrete pipe with a heavy emphasis on trench safety, working along side a backhoe, and laying concrete structures. String line, story poles, auto levels, transits, and various laser set-ups will be used for slope and grade controls.

Pipe laying techniques
Graduates are required to demonstrate proficiency in safely shoring and demonstrate an understanding of the mathematics needed to compute slope and determine cuts at any given point as well as preparing bed, making bell holes, laying and connecting pipe to line and grade.
