Traffic Control, Asphalt, and Hand Tools (C-2)
This 5-day course covers the selection and stationing of traffic control signs and barriers and the techniques of flagging traffic for highway construction and repair projects. The safe efficient uses and care of handtools. The placing, raking and compaction of asphalt. The making of night joints and the care and cleaning of tools and equipment.
Graduates must demonstrate proficiency in selecting and stationing signs and barricades in correct sequence as well as proper flagging techniques. The use and care of various hand tools and a working knowledge of asphalt placement.
When ATSSA flagger certification is required, ATSSA training will be available on request.
