Introduction To Transits (A-2)
This five-day class involves applying knowledge and techniques learned in the A-1 course to the use of transits for the measuring of simple angles and extending lines.
Topics covered in this course include:
Basic trigonometry
Reading verniers scales
Building and geometric layout
Graduates must demonstrate a working knowledge of trigonometry tables, stake markings, mathematics and the record keeping involved for simple layout and grade control work.
